The October Challenge

Welcome to the October challenge! In order to stretch and expand your creativity we've set a few more difficult challenges this year which we hope you've enjoyed. If you haven't enjoyed them then you'll be pleased to hear that this month it's the last of the 'big stinkers' as we want you to create something in...

We're going to make this even tougher by saying that you must use only opaque black beads in your piece - no AB, silver lined or other coloured finishes are allowed - but you can use matte as well as shiny beads.

THE PRIZE:
This month our sponsor is Rachel and she's offering £15 to spend in her shop RB Beads!

HOW TO ENTER:
Simply email a photograph of your entry to Liz at ottbs@live.com. The challenge runs until Midnight on Friday 31st of October and the winner is drawn and announced the following day. The challenge is open to beaders worldwide.

RULES & OTHER INFORMATION:
Entries must have been started on or after October 1st 2014.
You can use any technique but it must include beads.
You must use only the challenge colours unless otherwise stated (findings are exempt).
Your entry must be a finished piece.
If your entry isn't your own design you must credit the original designer.

Good luck everyone and happy beading!

Yes! I've just bought more 3mm black fire polish for a project that's been in my head for at least 2 years! Maybe this will give me the push to begin it. I keep buying the beads for it and then using them in another piece (ultimate stash busting I think!). Here we go.....Jeanne Evans

I've needed a plain black - thanks for the push.

Do our findings need to be black too? or can they be silver or gold?
Please let us know, ok? :)
Thanks!

Hi Ev! Clasps can be any colour but for this challenge things like spacer beads would need to be black. Hope that helps!
