The February Challenge

Welcome to the February challenge. It's colour scheme time and this month we'd like you to create something in RED, BLUE and GOLDAny shades of Blue and Red are accepted and Gold can be gold coloured and/or metallic.

THE TWIST: We haven't had a twist for some time so this month we'd like you to include some FREEFORM BEADWEAVING in your work. This is completely optional but if you do include some freeform in your piece we will give you TWO entries into the draw!

If you have never tried freeform beadweaving before there are a few links to some instructions and hints.They are mostly peyote stitch but you are free to use other beadweaving stitches in your piece...

Simply email a photograph of your entry to Liz at The challenge runs until Midnight on Saturday the 28th of February and the winner is drawn and announced the following day. The challenge is open to beaders worldwide.

Entries must have been started on or after February 1st 2015.
You can make any item, it does not need to be jewellery.
You can use any craft technique but it must include beads.
Findings are exempt from the colour challenge.
Your entry must be a finished piece.
If your entry isn't your own design you must credit the original designer.

The January Challenge - And the winner is...

Thanks to everyone who joined in with our January Challenge. The theme was "Inspired by a Song" and you were all inspired by a wide range of songs from various genres and decades! The winner of the draw is at the bottom of this post but take a look at the amazing entries we recieved first...
