First goal reached

I just finished a spiral rope necklace using those yummy reddish seed beads I posted about here. So, without further ado, here is my new necklace:

It looks slightly odd and lumpy to me, but it looks OK on. I don't think it's bad for a first attempt, anyway:

For my next goal, I was wondering about somehow making a flower using seed beads, as I have a challenge to complete for an online group, and the theme is 'flowers'. So, if anyone has any easy patterns/techniques that would fit the bill, I'd love to hear/read them.

I really love the necklace and think you did a great job! As for flowers, I have done many different ones, but I never have written instructions. I like to do a circular herringbone combined with a larger bead for a center. I also like to bead a small circular center using peyote switching to herringbone. I am just finishing a floral necklace that I love. It will be entered in a challenge at http://www.etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com on July 5. It will also be listed in my shop at http://www.marytdesigns.etsy.com. Just convo me if you are interested in any specific techniques.

That's gorgeous, great 1st attempt. For a flower, you could always make 5/6 same size brick stitch diamonds and connect them together using the method I posted for my butterfly.

Well done, that's brilliant for a first attempt!
